Recipe for Pancakes Cafe Delites style.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups milk
1 large egg
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until the batter is smooth.
Preheat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-high heat.
Grease the pan with butter or cooking spray.
Using a ladle or 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the pancake batter onto the hot griddle.
Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until bubbles starts to form on the surface of the pancake.
Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
Serve the pancakes with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, whipped cream, fresh fruit, or chocolate chips.
Tips:
If the batter is too thick, add a splash of milk to thin it out.
Don't overmix the batter as it can lead to tough pancakes.
Adjust the heat as needed to prevent burning.
To keep the pancakes warm, place them in a 200-degree F oven until ready to serve.
